# UI Walkthrough

> Understanding the PiCUA WebPanel interface

Take a tour of the PiCUA WebPanel interface to understand how everything works.

## Main Interface Layout

The PiCUA WebPanel has a modern, responsive design with two main panels:

## Header Bar

The top header contains essential information and controls:

### PiCUA Branding

* **Logo**: PiCUA logo on the left side
* **Connection Status Badge**: Shows current connection state
  * **Green**: Connected to PiKVM
  * **Red**: Not connected
  * **Yellow**: Connection issues

### User Menu

* **Profile Button**: Circular button with user icon
* **Dropdown Menu**: Contains logout option
* **Session Management**: End current session

## Left Panel - PiKVM Live Stream

The left panel shows the live view of your target computer:

### Live Screen Display

* **Real-time Stream**: Live view from PiKVM device
* **Responsive Design**: Automatically adjusts to screen size
* **Error Handling**: Shows error messages if stream fails
* **Loading States**: Visual indicators during processing

### Connection Information

* **Device IP**: Shows connected PiKVM IP address
* **Status Badge**: Visual connection indicator
* **Connection Time**: How long you've been connected

### Quick Action Buttons

Four main action buttons in a grid layout:

1. **Power Button**
   * Toggles computer power on/off
   * Changes color based on power state
   * Green = On, Red = Off

2. **Screenshot Button**
   * Takes a picture of the current screen
   * Downloads image automatically
   * Camera icon for easy identification

3. **Status Button**
   * Shows current connection status
   * Displays device information
   * Activity icon for monitoring

4. **Keymap Button**
   * Shows available keyboard keys
   * Helpful for command reference
   * Grid icon for organization

## Right Panel - Command Line Interface

The right panel provides a full command-line experience:

### Command History

* **Scrollable Output**: Shows all previous commands and responses
* **Color-coded Messages**:
  * **Gray**: Your commands
  * **White**: System responses
  * **Red**: Error messages
* **Timestamps**: Each message shows when it was sent
* **Rich Formatting**: Help and keymap commands display in organized cards

### Command Input

* **Text Field**: Type commands in natural language
* **Auto-completion**: Tab key provides suggestions
* **Command History**: Arrow keys navigate previous commands
* **Send Button**: Arrow icon to execute commands

### Smart Suggestions

* **Command Completion**: Suggests available commands
* **Key Suggestions**: Shows valid keys for keyboard commands

## Using the Interface
